Job Summary
Kitchen Helper/Server assists with the preparation and distribution of food items for consumption by students and school personnel; maintaining kitchen facility in a sanitary condition. Responsibilities include assisting with food preparation and serving, ensuring sanitation and safety standards, supervising student meal service to meet regulatory requirements, managing inventory and deliveries, and supporting adherence to state health regulations. Requires ability to lift up to 40 lbs and work with a range of staff and the community; HS diploma or equivalent and Food Handler’s Card preferred.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Two years of food preparation experience preferred
- Must possess current Food Handler’s Card or have the ability to obtain required
- Knowledge of State Health Food Regulations preferred
- Experience with the use of a computer
- Ability to work with students, staff, and community
- Ability to follow directions and adapt to changing situations
- Punctuality and attendance expectations
