Job Summary
Manage shift operations by greeting customers, ensuring proper uniform compliance, and maintaining high standards for store cleanliness and safety. Perform bookkeeping duties including shift change reports, clocking in/out, processing sales, and making deposits. Work the store manager's days off and at least two evening shifts per week to ensure peak-hour coverage. Keep shelves stocked, clean equipment, and monitor the Huck's Bucks Loyalty app for customer sign-ups and transaction misuse. Report accidents, maintenance issues, and personnel policy violations to the Store Manager immediately.
Required Qualifications
- Willingness to accept a promotion and assume the responsibilities of a store manager upon completion of training programs and as an opening is available
- Option to relocate when there is an opening is negotiable
- Ability to work the store manager's days off
- Ability to work at least two (2) evening shifts per week
- Ability to effectively communicate with store associates and management
- Ability to follow all federal, state, and local laws and ordinances pertaining to the operation of the store
- Ability to treat all associates with dignity and respect and use proper personnel management techniques
- Ability to advise Store Manager of any personnel situations or policy violations having an adverse effect on store operating performance
- Ability to ensure all associate shift procedures are followed
- Ability to ensure a safe shopping and working environment
- Ability to ensure cash and merchandise in the store are handled in a secure manner according to company policy
- Ability to ensure vendor check-in procedures are followed per company policy
- Ability to keep coolers, drink boxes, store shelves, and displays fully stocked and fronted at all times
- Ability to properly clean and maintain equipment
- Ability to use correct pricing as listed on the DSD or grocery book for all merchandise
- Ability to ensure store appearance reflects company expectations and standards
- Ability to ensure floors are kept clean, waxed and buffed to a high gloss shine
- Ability to ensure store windows and all glass are clean
- Ability to ensure parking lot is swept daily, kept clean and in good repair
- Ability to ensure rest rooms are clean and in good working order
- Ability to report any maintenance problems that cannot be corrected immediately without assistance to the Store Manager
- Ability to ensure all food service areas are kept clean and follow all sanitation procedures
- Ability to ensure that lifting procedures are followed, per company policy
- Ability to ensure that ladders are properly used
- Ability to ensure that wet floor signs are used, per company policy
- Ability to report accidents promptly to store manager and corporate office
- Ability to actively promote the Huck's Bucks Loyalty app to customers
- Ability to communicate to customers the benefits of signing up and using the app
- Ability to monitor transactions for potential misuse of points or discounts
- Ability to assist customers on how to sign up and use the app for discounts and redemption
