Job Summary
Ensure the food service department operates efficiently and profitably by scheduling staff to meet business demands, managing variable expenses, and maintaining strict inventory controls. Provide prompt, courteous service to all customers while ensuring proper uniform compliance and break schedules. Conduct regular inventories, oversee accurate bookkeeping and hours recording, and train new associates on job duties. Enforce safety protocols, including proper ladder use and wet floor signage, and report maintenance issues immediately. Actively promote the Huck's Bucks Loyalty app, monitor transactions for misuse, and communicate special needs to the Division Manager. Maintain clean display cases and adhere to all federal, state, and local laws.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to effectively schedule associates to meet business demands
- Ability to effectively communicate with store associates and management
- Knowledge of federal, state and local laws and ordinances pertaining to the operation of the department
- Ability to provide a role model of conduct for other associates
- Ability to control variable expenses of the department
- Ability to ensure all associates are in proper uniform
- Ability to ensure all associates are properly recording all hours worked
- Ability to treat all associates with dignity and respect
- Ability to use proper personnel management techniques
- Ability to advise Store Manager of any personnel situations or policy violations having an adverse effect on store operating performance
- Ability to train all new Associates on proper completion of their job duties
- Ability to ensure all associate shift procedures are followed
- Ability to ensure a safe shopping and working environment
- Ability to ensure all safety rules are followed and protective equipment used
- Ability to communicate with the Division Manager any special needs or request
- Ability to effectively order merchandise to prevent out of stocks and maintain proper inventory levels
- Ability to ensure all food service areas are kept clean and follows all sanitation procedures
- Ability to ensure that lifting procedures are followed per company policy
- Ability to report accidents promptly to the Store Manager and corporate office
- Ability to monitor transactions for potential misuse of points or discounts
- Ability to assist customers on how to sign up and use the app for discounts and redemption
