Job Summary
Follow daily work schedules for food production, service, and cleaning while operating point-of-sale systems and food service equipment according to federal guidelines. Prepare meals using written recipes, manage inventory, and drive vans or refrigerated trucks to satellite sites for delivery and maintenance. Maintain a clean work environment, ensure compliance with food safety rules and HACCP standards, and participate in ongoing state-approved training initiatives. Interact daily with students, parents, and staff to promote exceptional customer service and support departmental goals for nourishing meals.
Required Qualifications
- Prior food service or cashier work experience
- Ability to follow directions, read, and communicate in English
- Ability to effectively communicate with students, teachers, school administrators and other Food & Nutrition service-related personnel
- Computer skills as required for the position
- Valid Florida Driver's License
- Bilingual skills
Desired Qualifications
- A standard high school diploma or satisfactory completion of an approved General Educational Development (GED) Testing Program
