Job Summary
Prepare nutritionally adequate meals and manage production deadlines while adhering to food safety rules and HACCP standards. Operate point-of-sale systems, drive vans to satellite sites for delivery, and maintain clean work environments by disposing of waste and sanitizing equipment. Follow daily schedules for food production, service, and cleaning, including pre-preparation, backup, and check-in orders. Record production data on worksheets and assist with inventory management. Ensure compliance with federal and state laws, engage in required training, and interact professionally with students, parents, and staff.
Required Qualifications
- Prior food service or cashier work experience
- Ability to follow directions, read, and communicate in English
- Ability to effectively communicate with students, teachers, school administrators and other Food & Nutrition service-related personnel
- Computer skills as required for the position
- Valid Florida Driver's License
- Bilingual skills
Desired Qualifications
- A standard high school diploma or satisfactory completion of an approved General Educational Development (GED) Testing Program
