Job Summary
Prepare and serve nutritionally adequate, reimbursable meals while adhering to food safety rules, HACCP standards, and federal guidelines. Operate point-of-sale systems, food service equipment, and drive vans or refrigerated trucks to satellite sites for delivery and maintenance. Manage kitchen duties including pre-preparation, production, backup, clean-up, and inventory checks, while recording production data on worksheets. Maintain a clean work environment by disposing of waste and ensuring compliance with personal hygiene and grooming standards. Follow daily schedules, state-approved training initiatives, and equal employment policies to support student achievements.
Required Qualifications
- Prior food service or cashier work experience
- Ability to follow directions, read, and communicate in English
- Ability to effectively communicate with students, teachers, school administrators and other Food & Nutrition service-related personnel
- Computer skills as required for the position
- Valid Florida Driver's License
- Bilingual skills
Desired Qualifications
- A standard high school diploma or satisfactory completion of an approved General Educational Development (GED) Testing Program
