Job Summary
Prepare and serve nutritionally adequate meals while adhering to food safety rules, HACCP standards, and approved meal patterns. Operate point-of-sale systems, drive vans to satellite sites for delivery, and manage inventory through ordering and storage. Execute kitchen duties including pre-preparation, production, service, backup, and clean-up, ensuring compliance with federal and state laws. Maintain a clean work environment by disposing of waste and sanitizing equipment. Participate in state-approved training initiatives and promote exceptional customer service with students, parents, and staff.
Required Qualifications
- Prior food service or cashier work experience
- Ability to follow directions, read, and communicate in English
- Ability to effectively communicate with students, teachers, school administrators and other Food & Nutrition service-related personnel
- Computer skills as required for the position
- Valid Florida Driver's License
- Bilingual skills
