Job Summary
Prepare and serve nutritionally adequate meals while adhering to state-approved training and food safety protocols. Operate point-of-sale systems, manage inventory, and follow written recipes to ensure quality food products meet production deadlines. Perform kitchen duties including pre-preparation, service, and cleaning, while driving vans to satellite sites for food delivery and maintenance. Maintain a clean work environment, ensure sanitation compliance, and interact professionally with students, parents, and staff. Assist with ordering supplies and record preparation details on production worksheets.
Required Qualifications
- Prior food service or cashier work experience
- Ability to follow directions, read, and communicate in English
- Ability to effectively communicate with students, teachers, school administrators and other Food & Nutrition service-related personnel
- Computer skills as required for the position
Desired Qualifications
- A standard high school diploma or satisfactory completion of an approved General Educational Development (GED) Testing Program
- Valid Florida Driver's License
- Bilingual skills
