Job Summary

Supervise day-to-day back-of-house operations to ensure food quality, safety, and presentation standards while preparing and serving meals to residents within scheduled time frames. Lead, train, and motivate kitchen staff to consistently deliver high-quality meals, monitor inventory, and order supplies in alignment with budget goals. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized kitchen environment that meets all health codes and state sanitation requirements. Collaborate with front-of-house teams to ensure seamless dining experiences and account for all resident meals daily. Requires minimal supervision, ability to work nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime, plus CPR/First Aid certification.

Required Qualifications

  • 2–4 years of culinary experience in a supervisory or lead cook role
  • Experience and/or knowledge of meal preparation for large groups

  • Freedom from non-treated communicable disease
  • CPR/First Aid Certification within 30 days of employment
  • Ability to work safely and to recognize potentially dangerous situations

  • Neatness, accuracy, dependability, and keeping work/space clean
  • Ability to work longer than average eight (8) hour shift
  • Ability to work seven (7) day schedule
  • Working knowledge of rules and regulations related to health and safety in food preparation
  • Demonstrated ability in food preparation and services
  • Ability to work with older adults and their food needs
  • 18 – 24 months experience in a similar position
  • CPR/First Aid certification
  • Twelve (12) plus years of education
