Job Summary
Oversee entire food service operations at S P J S T Rest Home, developing menus that cater to resident dietary needs while ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. Manage the food service team through hiring, training, and performance management, and monitor inventory levels to maintain cost-effective purchasing. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to accommodate special dietary restrictions and conduct regular evaluations to implement process improvements. Prepare and manage the food service budget, address resident or staff concerns promptly, and stay updated on industry trends to continually enhance dining experiences. Requires a Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management or Nutrition, with at least five years of food service management experience, including a track record in budget control and menu planning within a healthcare or senior living environment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Food Service Management, Nutrition, or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in food service management, preferably in a healthcare or senior living environment
- Proven track record of managing a team, including hiring, training, and performance management
- Experience with budget management and cost control in a food service setting
- Demonstrated experience in menu planning and food preparation that meets nutritional standards and dietary restrictions
- Strong leadership and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and tasks efficiently
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with staff, residents, and other stakeholders
- Proficiency in using food service management software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Comprehensive knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
- Ability to develop and implement effective training programs for staff
