Job Summary
Direct and oversee daily food service operations in a correctional facility, including menu planning, food preparation, and service delivery. Lead and train food service staff to maintain high standards of customer service and operational excellence. Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal food safety and sanitation regulations. Develop and manage budgets, control costs, and optimize resource allocation. Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to procure quality food products at competitive prices. Implement and monitor food quality and safety procedures to maintain high standards. Address and resolve customer feedback and concerns promptly and professionally. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and implement best practices in food service management.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Food Service Director or in a similar leadership role in the food service industry
- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and standards
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to manage budgets and operational costs effectively
- Proficiency in food service management software is a plus
- Flexible schedule to accommodate the demands of food service operations
- Must pass an extensive background check
