Job Summary
Direct daily food preparation, service, and delivery while maintaining high standards for taste, presentation, and nutrition. Train, schedule, and evaluate kitchen staff to foster a supportive team environment. Monitor expenditures, manage inventory, and control food and labor costs to meet financial goals. Ensure strict adherence to health, sanitation, and safety regulations. Plan menus based on client needs, nutritional guidelines, and budget. Procure food, supplies, and equipment from suppliers. This role supports a rehabilitation center serving geriatrics within a long-term care setting. Requires proven food service management experience, strong team-building abilities, and knowledge of food safety regulations. Full-time position with Monday through Friday availability, weekend options, and 8-hour shifts.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience in food service management
- Strong team-building and personnel management abilities
- Deep knowledge of food safety, sanitation regulations, and nutritional standards
- Excellent interpersonal skills to interact with clients, staff, and vendors
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 35 pounds
- Monday - Friday & Weekend availability
- 8-hour shift
- Day shift, evening shift
