Job Summary
Direct food service operations in a 90-bed rehabilitation and skilled nursing facility. Plan, assign and inspect the work of Food Service Staff; schedule staff and assist with department payroll data entry if required; supervise storage and care of food and supplies; oversee kitchen, dining areas, and equipment cleanliness; verify residents' trays align with the specified menu; may assist on tray line at mealtimes; coordinate and plan food preparation activities for special events; manage ordering and purchasing; provide staff training and orientation; CDM certification required; strong leadership, supervisory, and communication skills; long-term care experience preferred; ServSafe or Sodexo certification preferred; focus on large-scale and therapeutic food preparation and ensuring quality resident meals.
Required Qualifications
- CDM certification required
- Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent
- Food Service exp. in Long-Term Care settings strongly preferred
- SERV Safe or Sodexo certification preferred
- Strong knowledge of large scale & therapeutic food prep
- Solid leadership and supervisory skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Must be able to work as a team member
