Job Summary
Food Service Director to lead dining operations at Ditmas Park Nursing & Rehab. Responsibilities include leading and developing teams, recruiting and training, managing budget and labor costs, ensuring safety, sanitation, and compliance, driving menu planning and nutrition-focused service, maintaining P&L, and delivering high-quality dining experiences for patients and residents. Role requires a bachelor’s degree or equivalent, at least 2 years in a director-level food/nutrition operations role, strong communication, client/customer relationship skills, and ability to collaborate with other departments. Offices in Brooklyn, NY.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- Minimum 2 years experience as a director of food and nutrition services
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to develop and maintain client/customer rapport
- Ability to demonstrate excellent customer service
- Ability to maintain effective working relationships with other departments
- Occasional lifting up to 50 lb
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Food safety training covering dietary operations
