Job Summary
Oversee all district school nutrition program operations, ensuring compliance with USDA/state regulations while planning nutritious, compliant menus and managing procurement, budgeting, and reporting. Lead and train kitchen/cafeteria staff, maintain food safety and HACCP procedures, supervise daily operations, monitor meal participation, process free/reduced meal applications, and communicate effectively with students, parents, staff, and administration to drive program improvements and positive engagement.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma required
- associate or bachelor’s degree preferred
- ServSafe Certification or ability to obtain certification
- Knowledge of USDA school meal regulations and nutrition standards
- Experience with budgeting, purchasing, and staff supervision
- Strong organizational, communication, and computer skills
- Ability to work independently in a small district environment
