Job Summary
Oversee dining operations in a Skilled Long-Term Care Facility, ensuring high-quality food service delivery. Responsibilities include scheduling and supervising dietary staff, preparing payroll and new-hire paperwork, managing departmental budgets and purchasing, ensuring compliance with local/state/federal regulations and survey inspection processes, maintaining sanitation and food safety standards, training and evaluating staff, and overseeing sanitation of kitchens, storage, dining areas, and equipment. Requires ServSafe certification (or provided upon hire), knowledge of healthcare regulations, and leadership experience in healthcare food service. Proficiency with Outlook, Microsoft Office, Meal Tracker/OnCare, and related systems is desired.
Required Qualifications
- Current ServSafe certification or we will provide upon hire
- Certified Food Manager preferred
- Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) certification a plus
- Minimum 2-3 years managing the food service department in long term care facility, hospital, or healthcare setting strongly preferred
- Strong knowledge of large scale and therapeutic food preparation
- Solid leadership and supervisory skills
- Proficiency in basic computer skills, Outlook Email, Microsoft Office, Meal Tracker, OnCare, and Meal Tracker
