Job Summary
Lead the daily operations of food service at St. Martin De Porres High School by serving as the primary client contact, planning procurement, storage, and serving workflows, and directing team members through preparation and service. Manage budgets, approve food orders, monitor inventory levels, and ensure strict adherence to food safety guidelines and quality standards. Provide leadership for hiring, interviewing, and developing staff while conducting quarterly client meetings and presentations. Requires 3+ years of food service management experience, a chef background, and proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel. Full-time Monday through Friday schedule with a starting salary of $64K/year.
Required Qualifications
- 3 or more years of food service management experience
- A background as a chef or trained in culinary arts
- Demonstrated success in managing and developing teams to achieve desired results
- Proficiency with financial aspects for the role, from budgeting to interpreting results and interacting with management team
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Ability to conduct high level client meetings and presentations for quarterly reviews
- Strong working computer knowledge, including Microsoft Word and Excel
- Willingness and desire to take an involved, hands-on approach with leading the business
- Personal characteristics that include: self-motivation, high levels of energy and enthusiasm and positive attitude
