Job Summary
Oversee the daily operation of the District's food services program as the lead chef, serving as the primary point of contact for cooks, assistant cooks, and kitchen helpers. Monitor the Federal Free and Reduced Lunch Program in accordance with federal requirements, plan menus that conform to these standards, and provide training to staff on food preparation and sanitation. Supervise employees, conduct periodic meetings, and approve monthly time sheets for all staff. Evaluate meal costs, make recommendations for equipment updates, and assist the business manager in preparing the annual food services budget. This ten-month, 35-hour weekly position prioritizes student safety and health while aligning with the District's Strategic Plan.
Required Qualifications
- Preferred Bachelor of Science degree in Food Service Management or Nutrition
- Experience in food services management and/or nutrition

- Ability to calculate figures and discounts
