Job Summary
Load and unload meals, warmers, and coolers to each site while maintaining van cleanliness and completing vehicle checklists. Assist with kitchen cleaning, dishwashing, and product pickup from local grocery stores. Drive the delivery van to numerous off-sites safely, keeping daily delivery records and labeling equipment properly. Communicate professionally with site coordinators and perform other functions necessary for the YMCA of Greater Grand Rapids Association's smooth operation. Requires a valid Michigan chauffeur's license, clean driving record, and availability Monday through Friday, 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)
- State of Michigan criminal background clearance (ICHAT)
- Blood Borne Pathogen training
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Certification
- First Aid Certification
- Valid Michigan Driver's License
- Valid Chauffeur's License
- Clean Driving Record
- 90-100% of local travel within the state of Michigan
- Ability to interact with people of all ethnic backgrounds, ages, and lifestyles
Desired Qualifications
- one to three months of previous delivery driving experience and/or training
- YMCA experience
