Job Summary
Complete tasks assigned by the cafeteria manager, including serving food to students and staff, preparing meals per recipe, and cleaning cooking utensils. Effectively use equipment to prepare food as directed and assist in total kitchen clean-up while adhering to HACCP guidelines. Appropriately clean all utensils and perform all tasks in accordance with safety standards. Report to work at scheduled times wearing proper uniform and grooming standards, utilizing proper hand-washing techniques. Participate in meetings, training sessions, and seminars as scheduled. Adhere to all school district rules and building regulations.
Required Qualifications
- Current TB test
- Ability to read & communicate in English
- Ability to accurately count, weigh & measure
- Ability to follow instructions & take initiative in performance of assigned tasks
- Physical ability to walk, stoop, stand, twist & squat on a constant basis
- Lift a minimum of 51 pounds to 33 inches occasionally
- Must work in a hot, humid environment
- Must work in a cold, or below zero environment for short periods
