Job Summary
Food Service Cook casts ahead with flexibly scheduled part-time shifts (mornings, afternoons, evenings) in a quick-service store setting. Responsibilities center on preparing, cooking, and presenting high-quality items to customers following standard recipes and portion sizes; operating grills, fryers, ovens, and slicers; maintaining food safety, sanitation, and temperatures per health codes; delivering accurate orders with friendly service; assisting with inventory and stock rotation (FIFO); and cleaning and organizing the kitchen and storage areas. The role emphasizes efficiency during peak hours, collaboration with other kitchen staff and cashiers, and potential training of new team members. Requires ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs., and work in a fast-paced store environment; prior kitchen/food service experience and a high school diploma are preferred. Starting pay is $14.50/hour with weekly pay and part-time benefits available.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Previous experience in a kitchen or food service role preferred within convenience store/fast food/restaurant setting
- Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures
- Food handler's certification or ability to obtain one is a plus
