Job Summary
Deli/Bakery Clerk responsible for keeping deli/bakery cases stocked and clean during business hours, assisting customers, and maintaining a friendly, energetic demeanor. Responsibilities include stocking and presenting products per department schematics, checking expiration dates, weighing/labeling items, ensuring pricing accuracy, monitoring signage and promotions, preparing deli/bakery items, operating equipment (knives, scales, wrappers, pallet jacks, hand trucks), participating in pre-inventory, and upholding safety, sanitation, and product knowledge. Requires customer service, cross-selling, ability to follow procedural guidelines, and the capacity to work in a fast-paced grocery environment. Knowledge of weights and measures, math, and health department guidelines is essential, with the ability to stand, walk, and lift as needed. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalency
- 1-2 years grocery retail experience in Food Service department processes and procedures (preferred)

- Ability to operate food service equipment (knives, scales, ovens)
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to multitask and work in a cross-functional team environment
- Flexibility to work varied hours/days as business dictates
- Attention to detail and ability to prioritize deadlines
