Job Summary
The Building Manager II will oversee and manage an assigned building within contract awards, performing duties per the performance work statement and contracted services while delivering high-quality customer service. Responsibilities include supervising and coordinating a team in a large-volume food service/facilities environment, ensuring compliance with ServSafe standards or equivalent, and leveraging basic word processing and spreadsheet tools. The role requires fluent English, strong interaction with customers/government personnel, the ability to rotate shifts, and readiness to work early mornings as well as evenings, weekends, and holidays. This position emphasizes learning all aspects of the job, operational oversight, safety and compliance, and effective collaboration with stakeholders across government and community partners.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years in large volume food service operations, cafeteria-style or multi-entrée services
- Minimum 1 year of supervising or leading teams
- Must pass ServSafe Certification or equivalent (within 90 days of start)
- Intermediate-level computer skills (word processing and spreadsheet software)
- Must understand and communicate in English (oral and written)
- Able to rotate workweek hours to cover all shifts
- Ability to interact appropriately with customers, government personnel, and staff
- Must meet eligibility requirements for work assignment on specified contracts
- Must pass organization background screenings as appropriate
- Experience with safety, compliance, and customer service in a facilities environment
