Job Summary
Assist with Jefferson County Meals program by receiving prepared foods from the central kitchen, sanitizing work areas, and setting out tables according to daily reservations. Prepare bleach solutions, check and record refrigerator and freezer temperatures, and verify food quantities and temperatures before serving. Serve meals at designated times, prioritizing handicapped or special needs seniors, and record all food temperatures and meal counts on the daily site report. Maintain a clean dining area, wash and sanitize all items used for service, and manage supplies and donation boxes. Communicate with management regarding shortages and ensure proper handwashing and hair restraint protocols are followed. Work part-time Monday through Friday from 10:30am to 1:30pm, using your own vehicle for deliveries with mileage reimbursement.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED and/or equivalent experience
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Ability to lift 10-15 lbs
- Knowledge of proper lifting techniques
- Ability to understand oral and written instructions
- Ability to deal with the elderly population
- Dependable and in good physical condition
- Must have ability to cooperate with others and supervise volunteers if required
- Must be able to keep simple records
- Must adhere to all confidentiality procedures
- Must be able to communicate effectively with Management
- Must be available for Monday-Friday 10:30am-1:30pm
- Will requiring using your own vehicle for deliveries but does include mileage reimbursement
