Job Summary
Food Service Associate handles patient meal service and related duties in a hospital setting. Responsibilities include setting up and stocking stations, retrieving patient meal trays, maintaining floor stock, following sanitary and safety guidelines, preparing or serving beverages and prepared foods, labeling and dating items, cross-training to support tray-line, storeroom, and food prep areas, and performing daily/special cleaning to ensure a sanitary environment. Must follow recipes to deliver consistently safe, nutritionally appropriate meals that meet budget constraints; adhere to CDC hand hygiene guidelines and proper food handling; and assist with other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- High School graduate or equivalent preferred
- 6+ months’ previous experience in food service preferred but not required
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
