Job Summary
Food City is seeking a Food Service Associate responsible for delivering efficient, friendly customer service while preparing and serving foods, making sandwiches, assisting with the hot bar, slicing meats and cheese, taking telephone orders, maintaining a clean workstation, and ensuring proper packaging and labeling. The role involves following the Food Safety program, stocking and rotating products, and being cross-trained in multiple areas. Strong teamwork, communication, and ability to follow instructions are required; 18+ years old with basic food service familiarity preferred. The position offers flexible schedules and comprehensive benefits.
Required Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Food Service experience a plus, but not required
- Ability to meet standard Physical, Mental, and Visual demands
- Ability to understand and follow verbal and/or written instructions, perform routine and repetitive tasks
- Ability to attend on-site work during scheduled shifts to adhere to company time and attendance policies
