Job Summary
Deliver meals and supplies to patient units while performing dishwashing, ware washing, and food preparation. Serve food in retail areas, stock supplies, and maintain sanitary work zones using FIFO and HACCP guidelines. Monitor food temperatures, sanitize equipment, and record sanitizer levels at each fill. Use two patient identifiers when delivering trays and answer questions about café items. Handle service recovery immediately or involve supervisors as needed. Rotate shifts, standby, and respond to on-call requirements locally between system locations.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma, GED or higher level of education
- Zero (0) to One (1) year of experience in food service, sanitation, or service industry
- Strong leadership ability
- Good organizational skills
- Independent and critical thinking skills
- Sound judgment
- Knowledge of legal aspects and liability of nursing practice
- Strong ability to communicate complex and/or controversial topics and concepts to a wide and diverse audience
- Act 34-PA Criminal Record Check from the PA State Police system
- ServSafe Food Safety Certification preferred
- Incumbent will be scheduled based on operational need (rotate shifts, standby, on-call, etc.)
- Travel may be expected locally between System locations
- When lift requirement is in excess of 50#, lift assistance (2 person) and/or transfer device is required
Desired Qualifications
- One (1) to Three (3) years' experience in Food Service
- Experience in Healthcare setting
