Job Summary
As a Food Service Associate/Deli Clerk, you will be responsible for daily deli operations, including preparing, wrapping, boxing, weighing, and stocking deli/food service products, while ensuring a high level of sanitation and guest service. Key tasks include processing cash register transactions, understanding product pricing and signage, and preparing a variety of food items such as salads, sandwiches, and hot meals. The role requires the ability to work safely with kitchen tools, taking guest orders, and maintaining a clean workspace.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 16 years old
- Must have reliable transportation and an active driver’s license
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally
- Work in walk-in coolers and freezers
- Stand for long periods of time, bend and twist below waist, and frequently lift and/or maneuver merchandise and supplies
- Be dexterous enough with hands and fingers to use necessary equipment, including knives, slicers, burners, ovens, fryers and rotisseries
Desired Qualifications
- Serv-safe certification preferred
- 2 years foodservice or retail management
