Job Summary
The Food Service Associate is responsible for deli and food service operations, including processing cash register transactions, preparing and cooking deli items, and ensuring sanitation and store appearance. Responsibilities include taking guest orders, managing product displays, and maintaining cleanliness in work areas. Required skills include the ability to operate registers, scales, and slicers, as well as the physical capability to lift merchandise and stand for lengthy periods. Candidates must possess a high school diploma or equivalent, and 2 years of foodservice or retail management experience.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Must be at least 16 years old
- Flexibility to work weekend, holiday and/or evening shifts
- 2 years foodservice or retail management
- Reliable transportation and an active driver’s license
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally
- Work in walk-in coolers and freezers
- Stand for long periods of time, bend and twist below waist
- Frequent lifting and maneuvering of merchandise and supplies
- Dexterity to use necessary equipment effectively
Desired Qualifications
- Serv-safe certification preferred
- Vocational or Technical Education
Additional Requirements
- Use of knives, slicers, burners, ovens, fryers and rotisseries for 18+ years old
