Job Summary
The Food Service Associate/Deli Clerk is responsible for daily operations in the deli and food service area, ensuring sanitation, store appearance, and guest service. Responsibilities include processing register transactions, using equipment like scales and scanners, and preparing deli items such as salads and sandwiches. The associate will also maintain cleanliness of the work areas, monitor product pricing, take guest orders, and display products according to merchandising guidelines. Required qualifications include a high school diploma, age 16 or older, and 2 years of foodservice or retail management experience.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Applicants must be at least 16 years old
- Must have 2 years foodservice or retail management
- Must have reliable transportation and an active driver’s license
- Dexterity to use necessary equipment, including knives and slicers
Desired Qualifications
- Serv-safe certification preferred
- Flexibility to work weekend, holiday and/or evening shifts
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally
