Job Summary
The Food Service Associate is responsible for deli and food service operations including cash register transactions, food preparation, and maintaining sanitation standards. Duties include processing orders, handling deli ingredients, monitoring product pricing, and displaying products as per guidelines. Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent and at least 2 years of food service or retail management experience. The position requires flexibility for various shifts, managing food safety, and the ability to work in fast-paced environments. Serv-safe certification is preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Must have 2 years foodservice or retail management
- Must have reliable transportation and an active driver’s license
- Must be at least 16 years old
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally
- Stand for long periods of time, bend and twist below waist, and frequently lift and/or maneuver merchandise and supplies
- Dexterous enough with hands and fingers to use necessary equipment, including knives, slicers, burners, ovens, fryers and rotisseries
Desired Qualifications
- Serv-safe certification preferred
- Vocational or Technical Education
