Job Summary
Provide enthusiastic customer service, handle complaints, and process payments via cash, card, or vouchers while maintaining a clean, safe, and stocked environment. Prepare shift-change reports, clock in/out on the POS, and scan all sales to ensure proper register procedures. Control inventory, protect company assets, and adhere to all tobacco, alcohol, and safety regulations. Operate equipment safely, check refrigeration units, and address maintenance issues immediately. Assist in store presentation by stocking shelves, cleaning restrooms and seating areas, and maintaining displays. Accurately post merchandise usage, verify petty cash, and count lottery tickets in accordance with policy. Adhere to the posted schedule, accommodate sudden changes, and remain available for on-call emergencies.
Required Qualifications
- A high school diploma/GED
- Provide oneself with a reliable means of transportation to and from work
- ability to be reached by telephone
- Flexibility to accommodate sudden schedule changes
- availability to be on call 24 hours a day if an emergency arises
- ability to remain stationary for a long period of time
- ability to position self to stock shelves and coolers
- ability to sweep and mop floors
- ability to dust shelves
- ability to move trash containers and place in an outside bin
- ability to clean the parking lot and grounds
- ability to clean windows around the store
- ability to enter and work in a cooler wat temperature of 30 degrees up to 30 minutes at a time
- ability to meet the physical demands, such as transporting and moving store products and equipment weighing up to 50lbs
- ability to shovel snow when needed
