Job Summary
Food Service Assistant needed in GLASGOW, UK, to deliver efficient, friendly dining experiences. Responsibilities include serving food and beverages, promptly addressing guest inquiries, maintaining dining and kitchen cleanliness, collaborating with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service, adhering to food safety guidelines, setting up/breaking down dining areas, processing guest payments, and supporting events/catering. Must demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills, be able to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment, and show flexibility to adapt to guest needs. Requires basic math skills for cash handling and knowledge of food safety; high school diploma or equivalent is requested. In-person, part-time role (16 hours/week, Mon–Wed) with a focus on delivering exceptional hospitality and customer satisfaction.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience in food service or hospitality preferred
- Basic food hygiene knowledge or certification a plus (training available)
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices desirable
