Food Service Assistant - PT Evenings

Food Service Assistant will perform food preparation, serving, and related duties in Sanford Health’s cafeteria-like setting. Responsibilities include monitoring and recording proper food temperatures, setting up and maintaining a clean and sanitized serving area, preparing and serving food items, restocking food areas, cleaning and sanitizing equipment, and handling payments using a computerized register. The role requires compliance with HACCP guidelines, delivering outstanding customer service, building effective working relationships with patrons and co-workers, and operating equipment such as grills, beverage machines, toasters, ice-cream dispensers, dishwashers, cash registers, steam equipment, refrigerators, and freezers. Prior food industry experience and the ability to stand for long periods are preferred, with on-the-job training provided. The position may require Serv Safe certification and possibly Basic Life Support depending on location.
