Job Summary
Food Service Assistant is responsible for monitoring and recording proper food temperatures, setting up and maintaining a clean and sanitized serving area, preparing and serving food items, restocking food areas, cleaning and sanitizing equipment, and handling payments using a computerized register. Ensures HACCP guidelines are followed, delivers outstanding customer service, communicates effectively with patrons and coworkers, and maintains quality control standards. May operate equipment such as grills, beverage machines, toasters, ice cream dispensers, cash registers, steam equipment, dishwashers, telephones, refrigerators and freezers. Basic Math and reading/writing proficiency required; on-the-job training provided; Serv Safe may be required depending on location.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 16 years of age
- Previous customer service experience preferred
- Retail counting and reconciliation of money knowledge of food service preferred
- Ability to read, write and follow oral and written directions
- Ability to perform basic math
- On-the-job training will be provided
