Job Summary
Food Service Assistant role at U.S.VETS Prescott, responsible for sanitation, operation of the food service line, and preparation of simple items; serves meals according to funders’ and clients’ nutritional requirements; assists with packaging and loading food for transport to U.S.VETS functions; supervises veteran helpers on workstations; maintains safety standards and cleans work areas; requires 3-6 months in food handling preferred and strong communication skills.
Required Qualifications
- Three to six months in food handling preferred
- Experience working with homeless veterans preferred.
- Ability to communicate and work effectively with a diverse group of residents, staff, and community members.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Must possess State Food Handlers Health Card.
- Must be knowledgeable of food handling procedures and protocols.
- Driver license with no violations on driving record for past 3 years required
