Job Summary
The Food Service Assistant assists with food preparation and serving, monitors and records food temperatures, maintains a clean and sanitized serving area, restocks food areas, and operates a computerized register to receive payments. Responsibilities include complying with HACCP guidelines, providing outstanding customer service, communicating effectively with patrons and co-workers, maintaining quality control, and handling equipment such as grills, beverage machines, toasters, ice cream dispensers, dishwashers, and cash registers. Requires ability to work on feet for long periods, and willingness to rotate weekends and holidays on a day shift (6-2:30pm). On-the-job training provided; Serv Safe and BLS may be required depending on location.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 16 years of age
- Previous customer service experience preferred
- Possesses ability to read, write and follow oral and written directions
- Ability to perform basic math
- On-the-job training will be provided
- Serv Safe may be required within designated time frame
- Basic Life Support may be required depending upon location requirements
