Job Summary
Serve breakfast or assist students in selecting meal components while maintaining accurate food production records for leftovers. Clean and sanitize work areas and serving stations, then put food and supplies away. Ring students up and ensure they take appropriate meal components. Maintain confidentiality regarding student accounts and keep computer register components clean and free of dust. Perform any other duties assigned by the Kitchen Manager or Food Service Supervisor. Work in a moderately loud indoor environment, occasionally outdoors, requiring travel between buildings via automobile.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma (or equivalent)
- Must pass a basic math skills test
- Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written English language
- Ability to read and comprehend instructions
- Ability to work with the general public and students
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to perform duties with awareness of District requirements and Board policies / administrative guidelines
- Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to communicate effectively, speaking clearly and communicating thoughts succinctly
- Ability to react well under pressure, handle and balance multiple demands at one time, work with frequent interruptions and perform duties and tasks at expected levels of professionalism with minimal supervision
- Accurate and detail oriented
- Ability to develop effective working relationships with students, parents, teachers, administration and the school community
- Ability to travel via employee's automobile between buildings
- Must remain free of any alcohol or non-prescribed controlled substance in the workplace throughout his/her employment in the District
