Job Summary
Deliver room service meals to patients, serve co-workers and visitors in the cafeteria, and brew Caribou coffee. Wash and sanitize dishes, ensure patients' meals match dietary requirements, and maintain a food-safe environment by storing food properly, monitoring temperatures, and cleaning the kitchen. You will learn diet orders and cross-train in other department areas when opportunities arise. This role includes several days of on-the-job training and ServSafe certification courses. Shifts are casual with less than 32 hours biweekly.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to attend the work site per schedule
- Successful completion of the pre-employment health screening process required
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions accurately
- Ability to interact with patients, physicians, employees, and guests
- Must be able to handle multiple priorities in a calm, productive manner
Desired Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- ServSafe certification or MN Department of Health Food Manager's certificate preferred
- willingness to successfully complete ServSafe certification course
- Six (6) months related experience preferred
