Job Summary
Assist cooks in preparing desserts or snacks and meals, carry trays to patients, serve beverages, and support tray-line service. Maintain dining area cleanliness, follow diet and NPO orders, and record temperatures for freezers and walk-ins. Monitor stock, store supplies properly, and ensure infection-control practices. Operate dish machine and other kitchen equipment, assist with coffee/tea preparation, and support opportunities for substitutions per procedural guidelines. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and staff; demonstrate warm, professional service and contribute to team projects and committees. Adhere to safety rules, procedures, and standardized recipes to ensure quality and patient satisfaction.
Required Qualifications
- A high school diploma or its equivalent preferred.
