Job Summary
Food Service Aide is responsible for assisting with the preparation and service of meals for patients, employees and events, following proper food handling and safety practices, delivering meals to patient floors, restocking items, and maintaining a clean, safe work environment. Tasks include preparing and serving meals, taking out trash, ensuring clean dishes and glassware availability, documenting dishmachine temperature readings, and sweeping/mopping floors. Requires strong communication, organization, time management, attention to detail, and ability to follow recipes and instructions; ServSafe certification as applicable.
Required Qualifications
- Experience as a Prep Cook or Cook preferred, but not required.
- Food safety certifications as required by jurisdiction. (ServSafe)
- Ability to understand and execute recipes and instructions in detail.
- Work alongside Cooking staff to prep for daily meal service.
