Job Summary
Provides food preparation and service for patients, employees, and events, ensuring food safety, proper temperatures, attractive presentation, and compliance with established standards. Performs duties such as taking out trash, ensuring clean dishes and glassware, delivering food to patient floors, restocking items, cleaning appliances, and documenting dishmachine temperatures. Prioritizes tasks with strong organizational and time-management skills to meet strict timelines and supports a collaborative cooking team in healthcare foodservice. Willingness to learn and apply ServSafe or jurisdiction-required food safety certifications; experience as a prep cook or cook is preferred but not required; strong communication and attention to detail are essential.
Required Qualifications
- Experience as a Prep Cook or Cook preferred, but not required
- Food safety certifications as required by jurisdiction. (ServSafe)
- Ability to understand and execute recipes and instructions in detail
- Work alongside Cooking staff to prep for daily meal service
