Job Summary
Acknowledge guests, take orders, recommend menu items, and present food while processing payments and maintaining a clean workspace. Assist with clearing tables, transporting dirty dishes to a bus cart, and executing in-room dining orders. Use fountain machines, read instructions, and comply with all company rules and Alcohol Beverage Control laws. Stand and walk continually throughout a scheduled shift in a 24/7 high-energy casino environment.
Required Qualifications
- A high school diploma or GED equivalent
- One (1) to three (3) years of experience in casual, buffet and/or fine dining restaurants
- Must be able to obtain and maintain the necessary license as mandated by the Maryland Lottery and Gaming Control Agency
- Alcohol Beverage Card
- Ability to stand and walk continually throughout a scheduled shift
- Ability to bend, stoop and reach while carrying dishes, glasses and serving tray
- Ability to push bus cart and carry trash/linen bags weighing up to 35 pounds
- Ability to use stairs and elevators
- RAMP certified
- Knowledge of Alcohol Beverage Control laws
- Knowledge of health regulations
- Knowledge of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment)
- Knowledge of Sanitation and health department regulations for safe handling of food
- Ability to communicate effectively with others
- Ability to understand and comply with all Company and departmental rules and regulations
- Ability to organize and be creative
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in an environment where smoking is allowed
- Ability to work in an environment exposed to alcohol, cigarette and cigar smoke
- Ability to work in an environment exposed to bright lights
- Ability to work in an environment exposed to loud noises
- Ability to work in a 24/7 high energy casino
- Ability to move about a large and fast paced casino with a true sense of urgency
