Job Summary
Greet guests warmly, seat them at tables, and present menus with knowledgeable recommendations. Take accurate food and drink orders while addressing dietary restrictions, then communicate clearly to kitchen and bar staff to ensure efficiency. Serve food and beverages promptly, monitor table conditions, and refill beverages or clear plates as needed. Check in with guests to ensure satisfaction and address concerns professionally. Process payments accurately using point-of-sale systems and handle cash and card transactions securely. Maintain a clean station and adhere to all health, safety, and sanitation regulations while collaborating with kitchen, bar, and management staff. Upsell menu items and beverages to enhance the guest experience.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1-2 years of food service or server experience in a full-service restaurant setting
- Strong knowledge of food and beverage offerings, including menu items, ingredients, and preparation methods
- Proficiency with point-of-sale (POS) systems and cash handling procedures
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact professionally with diverse guests and team members
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods, carry trays, and move throughout the restaurant
- Knowledge of health, safety, and sanitation regulations
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
