Job Summary
Prepare and store food items for children's meals while maintaining kitchen cleanliness and adhering to Health Department and CACFP guidelines. Document hot and cold food temperatures, ensure proper labeling, and clean dishes and equipment to meet sanitation requirements. Adjust menus for dietary needs, deliver meals to classrooms, and track food deliveries and quantities served. Maintain confidentiality of children's information and inventory supplies as needed. This role supports Child Start's nutrition program in Wichita, KS, requiring a high school diploma and less than 12 months of experience. The position offers $13.88 per hour with full benefits, 40 hours per week, and requires legal work authorization and measles immunity documentation.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or general equivalency education
- Less than 12 months related experience
- Legal authorization to work permanently in the United States for any employer without requiring a visa transfer or visa sponsorship
- Proof of measles (MMR) vaccination or documented immunity
- Ability to commute daily to Wichita, KS
- Ability to regularly lift and/or move objects or materials up to 30 pounds
