Food Safety Quality Systems Lead Technician 2nd shift

Job Summary
Conduct daily food safety and quality monitoring in the Production area, communicating critical issues to leadership via company radio. Guide Operations and Maintenance teams on food safety protocols, model leadership behaviors, and assist supervisors with department functions. Train technicians on job safety, SOPs, and HACCP requirements, while coaching daily performance and reviewing documentation. Manage swab and sample collection integrity, resolve tablet and site issues with IT, and track weekly swab and daily micro sample completion. Retain finished products by reviewing HACCP plans, communicating release blockages, and determining product disposition during foreign material events. Maintain department supply inventory, coordinate allocations, and support special projects involving data gathering and reporting. Serve as a substitute for supervisors and HACCP coordinators on rotation weekends.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Annual food and plant safety trainings
- Certification in Basic HACCP through any HACCP Alliance Certified program
- Must be able to sit or stand as needed
- Must be able to walk primarily on a level surface for periodic periods throughout the day
- Must be able to reach above shoulder heights, below the waist
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds for files
- Must be able to wear personal protective equipment such as safety glasses with side shields and mandatory hearing protection
Desired Qualifications
- Three years' experience with Lopez Dorada or similar operation
