Job Summary
Lead the Food Safety & Quality Assurance (FSQA) team to manage daily activities within the FSQA department, ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality. Responsible for implementing and executing food safety programs, adherence to specifications, and maintaining product quality within the facility. Oversees departmental budgets, turnover, safety, and special projects. Duties include policy adherence, leading FSQA Supervisors and Technicians, overseeing production practices from raw material receiving through finished product quality and Food Safety Systems, sanitation support, developing and maintaining HACCP/HARPC & SSOP programs, ensuring finished products meet customer specifications and labeling requirements, reporting audit results to plant and corporate management, engaging with customers for plant tours and audits, investigations of quality-related complaints, analytical monitoring, and participating in new product commercialization. Requires Education: High School diploma or GED; Bachelor’s degree preferred; at least 5 years in food manufacturing; strong communication and supervisory skills; ability to work in varied temperatures and physical environments.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED
- At least 5 years in a food manufacturing environment
- Prior supervisory experience preferred
- Knowledge of HACCP, USDA, GMP, and SSOPs
