Job Summary
Lead all food safety, quality, sanitation, HACCP, and regulatory compliance programs for Brandon and Lethbridge operations, setting strategic direction to protect consumers and reduce risks. Partner with Operations, Sales, and senior leaders to manage audits, drive continuous improvement, and build high-performing FSQA teams. Serve as a key stakeholder in product dispositions and recalls while utilizing data to anticipate issues and strengthen controls. Apply by September 1, 2026.
Required Qualifications
- Degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Agriculture, Animal Science, or related field
- 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in food manufacturing, food safety, or quality assurance
- Strong knowledge of HACCP, CFIA regulations, customer standards, and federally inspected food production
- Proven ability to lead teams, develop talent, influence across functions, and translate strategy into measurable business results
- Knowledge of food safety, quality systems, HACCP and regulatory compliance
- Experience with audits & risk management
- Proactive risk identification and prevention mindset
- Continuous improvement driver
- Strong strategic leadership skills with the ability to set direction, prioritize risk, and align FSQA priorities to business objectives
- Ability to develop, coach, and build capability within FSQA teams
- Ability to collaborate across functions
- Strong change management skills
- Able to develop key stakeholder & customer relationships
- Excellent communication and influencing skills
