Job Summary
Lead and manage the Food Safety and Quality Management System, ensuring compliance with SQF, HACCP, GMP, FDA, FSMA, and OSHA regulations. Conduct internal audits, GMP inspections, and food safety assessments while investigating customer complaints and non-conformances to drive corrective actions. Monitor environmental programs, allergen controls, and preventive measures, then train staff on GMPs, food defense, and sanitation practices. Analyze quality trends to recommend continuous improvements. Prepare facilities for customer, regulatory, and third-party audits. This role supports a growing snack food manufacturer in Dallas, requiring a Bachelor's degree and minimum two years of food safety experience. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Biology, Food Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum 2 years of food safety and quality management experience in food manufacturing
- Strong knowledge of SQF, HACCP, GMP, FSMA, FDA regulations, and preventive controls
- Experience preparing facilities for third-party audits
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Strong organizational and documentation skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and quality management systems
- Frequent walking throughout the manufacturing facility
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Occasional lifting of up to 30 pounds
- Comfortable working in production, warehouse, and laboratory environments
- Ability to work flexible hours when production or audit schedules require
