Job Summary
As the Food Safety Director - Production, you will lead and manage the SQF Food Safety Quality Program, ensuring compliance with Organic and Halal standards in a growing processing facility. Your role includes overseeing SQF documentation, managing HACCP plans, and ensuring regulatory compliance with USDA/FSIS regulations.
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of direct SQF Program leadership in a meat or poultry processing facility
- SQF Practitioner certificate required
- Strong knowledge of HACCP, GMPs, USDA/FSIS regulations, Raw and RTE controls
- Proven success with certification, surveillance, and customer audits
- Strong analytical, documentation, and organizational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in both Raw and RTE meat and poultry processing
- Knowledge of environmental monitoring programs and pathogen control in RTE environments
- Experience supporting customer quality programs and spec development
- Background with other certifications such as Certified Humane or GFCO
