Job Summary

As the Food Safety Director - Production, you will lead and manage the SQF Food Safety Quality Program, ensuring compliance with Organic and Halal standards in a growing processing facility. Your role includes overseeing SQF documentation, managing HACCP plans, and ensuring regulatory compliance with USDA/FSIS regulations.

Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years of direct SQF Program leadership in a meat or poultry processing facility
  • SQF Practitioner certificate required
  • Strong knowledge of HACCP, GMPs, USDA/FSIS regulations, Raw and RTE controls
  • Proven success with certification, surveillance, and customer audits
  • Strong analytical, documentation, and organizational skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience in both Raw and RTE meat and poultry processing
  • Knowledge of environmental monitoring programs and pathogen control in RTE environments
  • Experience supporting customer quality programs and spec development
  • Background with other certifications such as Certified Humane or GFCO
